A Little About the Work I Do
Life can bring moments that feel heavy stress that builds, emotions that become hard to untangle, or relationship patterns that leave you feeling unsure of yourself. Many people come to therapy seeking clarity, connection, or simply a space where they can breathe. In the rush of everyday life, it’s easy to lose track of your own needs and voice.
Therapy offers a chance to pause, get curious, and gently explore what’s beneath the surface. It’s a space where blind spots become clearer, patterns begin to make sense, and healing starts to feel possible. You can rewrite your story in real time.
My approach is relational and solution-focused. I value both deep self-awareness and practical steps forward. My goal is to support you in reconnecting with yourself, navigating challenges with clarity, and building a sense of confidence in your own inner wisdom. Above all, I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative and real a space where you can show up exactly as you are.
Professional Background
I bring over 15 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, youth, and families in a wide range of settings, including adult inpatient units, outpatient programs, addictions services, school-based mental-health supports, and community organizations.
I view therapy as a place where honesty meets compassion a space where you can exhale and grow at a pace that feels right for you.

More Than Just My Work
Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find me doodling in the margins of my notebook or mediating the ongoing “emotional discussions” between my three Goldendoodles who, to be honest, model emotional regulation better than most of us (myself included). Snowboarding with my family keeps me grounded and reminds me that falling is simply part of learning.
I bring this same blend of humanity and humour into my work. Growth is rarely linear, healing can be messy, and sometimes the most important thing we can offer ourselves is the permission to show up as our true, complicated, honest selves. And yes… my 5 PM coffee is non-negotiable. It’s less about caffeine and more about the ritual like a tiny reset button for my day.
Whenever I start to apologize for being “too much,” I think of the Mad Hatter telling Alice, “You used to be much more… muchier. You’ve lost your muchness.” My hope is to help you rediscover yours.
Let’s begin this journey together building a narrative shaped by resilience, clarity, and deeper self-understanding.
Take the first step today.

Welcome!
I’m Owen Campbell, a dedicated therapist-in-training with a deep love for the Saddle Hills community, where I was raised on a cattle ranch. Growing up, I was the person friends and family turned to when they needed someone to listen, which inspired me to follow a path focused on supporting others.
After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with distinction from the University of Calgary, I moved back to Grande Prairie to be close to family while pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. I’m also proud to be a registered student member of the Psychologists’ Association of Alberta.
Now, as an intern at Theragen Counselling, I’m here to help youth and adults tackle the challenges of life with understanding and care. I use a blend of therapies—like CBT, mindfulness, narrative therapy, and solution-focused strategies—to create a personalized plan for growth, healing, and reaching your goals.
As a parent who knows the juggle of family life, work, and education, I understand how overwhelming stress and worry can be. My goal is to offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, discover new strategies, and take steps toward a healthier, happier version of yourself.
Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to do it alone. Let’s take this journey together!
Welcome!
